Privacy Notice

ProcIntel is a procurement and supply chain intelligence service. It collects information published by external sources, analyses it for procurement relevance, and presents it to subscribers. This notice explains what personal information ProcIntel holds about you and why.

Information we hold

Account details

Your name and email address, the date your account was created, and whether your email address has been confirmed.

Authentication

A cryptographic hash of your password — never the password itself — together with the information needed to sign you in securely and to protect your account against repeated failed sign-in attempts.

Intelligence preferences

The categories, geographies and organisations you choose to follow, so ProcIntel can prioritise relevant intelligence for you.

Operational logs

Technical records generated while the service runs, used to keep it working and secure.

ProcIntel does not ask for payment details, and no payment or paid plan exists at present.

How we use it

Your email address is used to operate your account: to sign you in, to confirm your address, to let you reset a forgotten password, and to tell you about security-relevant changes such as a password being changed. These are transactional messages about your own account.

Your intelligence preferences are used only to decide what is shown to you first. They never change what ProcIntel collects or publishes, and the full intelligence corpus remains available to you whatever you choose.

ProcIntel does not sell personal data, and does not share it for advertising.

Cookies

ProcIntel sets one cookie, used to keep you signed in and to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. It is not used for advertising or cross-site tracking. Signing out ends the session.

Service providers

ProcIntel runs on third-party hosting infrastructure, and uses a third-party email provider to deliver account messages such as confirmation and password reset. These providers process the information needed to perform those functions on ProcIntel's behalf.

Retention and security

Account information is kept for as long as your account exists. Single-use links for confirming an address or resetting a password expire shortly after they are issued and cannot be reused. Operational logs are kept only as long as they are useful for running and securing the service.

ProcIntel takes reasonable technical measures to protect your account, including hashed passwords and protections against forged requests and repeated sign-in attempts. No online service can promise absolute security, and this notice does not claim any certification or formal accreditation.

Your choices

You can view and change your name, email address and intelligence preferences at any time from your Account page. If you would like a copy of the information held about you, want it corrected, or want your account and its data removed, contact us and we will action it.
