Local press has reported the saving as equivalent to the annual water use of 1700 people. The producer said that this is a result of a US$42.3m upgrade to its Rockfort cement plant in Kingston, commissioned in June 2025. It anticipates a further decline in 2027 following the installation of a water recirculation cooling tower at the plant.</p>
