The agency estimated the average consolidated fiscal surplus at 2.3% for the period from 2026 to 2029.</p> <p></p> <p>The agency added that it expects the Middle East war will have potential economic ramifications for the UAE's non-oil sectors.</p> <p></p> <p>Geopolitical tensions in the region pose a risk to capital outflows; however, UAE banks maintain strong net external asset positions, putting them in a solid position to weather such challenges.</p> <p></p> <p>SP indicated it could raise the rating over the medium term if there is a sustained reduction in risks stemming from regional geopolitical tensions.</p> <p></p> <p>Measures aimed at improving the effectiveness of monetary policy, such as developing local capital markets, may have a positive impact on ratings.</p>
