‎Government health spending hits AED 5.62B in 2025

The report also noted the implementation of projects to develop healthcare infrastructure, strengthen the sustainability of services and pharmaceutical supply chains, and improve services delivered to citizens across the country.</p> <p></p> <p>The evaluation of government spending is not limited to measuring allocated resources or financial execution rates but also includes assessing the impact of this spending on enhancing the UAE's preparedness and ability to respond to future changes and challenges.</p> <p></p> <p>Actual healthcare sector spending amounted to AED 5.62 billion, or about 8.15% of total public expenditure. The country also advanced to 33rd globally in the Health and Environmental Infrastructure Index, according to the 2025 Global Competitiveness Report, up two positions from the previous year.</p> <p></p>
