Signals
How ProcIntel works
- Collected Signal A news item, regulatory update, market report or other source record gathered by ProcIntel before it is consolidated into a canonical Event.
- Relevant Signal A collected Signal that passed ProcIntel's deterministic procurement-relevance assessment.
- Canonical Event A verified Event record representing one distinct real-world procurement development, potentially supported by multiple Signals.
- Developing Intelligence An evolving procurement situation made up of several distinct but clearly related events over time.
- Report
Every source item ProcIntel gathers starts as a Collected Signal. Signals that pass a relevance check become Relevant Signals, which are consolidated into Canonical Events. Related Events that unfold over time form Developing Intelligence, and the most important developments are selected into a Report. Each Canonical Event also carries a Procurement Risk Index (PRI), and the organisations, suppliers and other entities it involves each carry an Entity Criticality assessment.
