How ProcIntel works
- Collected Signal A news item, regulatory update, market report or other source record gathered by ProcIntel before it is consolidated into a canonical Event.
- Relevant Signal A collected Signal that passed ProcIntel's deterministic procurement-relevance assessment.
- Canonical Event A verified Event record representing one distinct real-world procurement development, potentially supported by multiple Signals.
- Developing Intelligence An evolving procurement situation made up of several distinct but clearly related events over time.
- Report
Every source item ProcIntel gathers starts as a Collected Signal. Signals that pass a relevance check become Relevant Signals, which are consolidated into Canonical Events. Related Events that unfold over time form Developing Intelligence, and the most important developments are selected into a Report. Each Canonical Event also carries a Procurement Risk Index (PRI), and the organisations, suppliers and other entities it involves each carry an Entity Criticality assessment.

This may initially reflect the source or feed configuration and should not automatically be interpreted as the location the article is about. | Initial Significance , sortable A provisional, deterministic estimate of how potentially material this individual Signal could be to procurement, computed automatically before Event extraction or human review. Not the final rating of any resulting Canonical Event. | Initial Confidence , sortable A provisional, deterministic estimate of how strongly the available evidence (source authority, specificity, corroboration) supports this individual Signal, computed automatically before Event extraction or human review.
